The Resort

Hemsedal's idyllic mountain location amidst the Hallingdal Valley has established this resort as Norway's premiere winter destination and a mecca for telemarkers as we all have to pay a visit to the spiritual home of our sport. Although once experienced this does seem to become an annual pilgrimage as the area offers so much.

Hemsedal Village posses an alpine charm all of its own with an unhurried, relaxed atmoshere within a natural unspolit setting. We are also able to offer high performance alpine ski coaching courses for your non telemark friends as we have teamed up with one of the UK's top ski coaching companies - Gravity Snowsports



The Skiing

The ski area boasts one of the highest and most consistent snowfall levels in Europe offering snow sure conditions from early November until early May and when we are here in late March the longer days with great snow make it an ideal time to enjoy these mountains. Intermediate and advanced telemarkers will be thrilled at the wide choice of slopes both on and off piste and if you fancy some touring on your day off this can be easily arranged by Ski-Norway.

With average lift queue times of 2-3 minutes you will get far more telemark time than for example the mega French resorts. Mileage means results.



Accommodation

Our base in Hemsedal is The Hemsedal Hotel. This 60 room hotel, which has been newly refurbished is situated 3km to the west of Hemsedal in the quiet village of Tuv. A regular ski bus service from the front of the hotel (5 mins to the lift). It has a cosy hotel bar, lounge and restaurant. There is also the manditory sauna, steam room and jacuzzi to relax those weary limbs. It is ideal groups and single travellers alike. Full details are available upon request. Getting There

Ski Norway will arrange all your flights from the UK and transfers to resort as part of the package.



Equipment Rental

There is naturally plenty of equipment hire for telemarkers and if you need equipment please let us know at the time of booking and we will provide you with any guidance you need.
